FNAW moderates a listserv aimed at connecting funders and Afghan organizations, both working to support women and girls in Afghanistan. The list circulates:

  • Short concept papers from new potential partners looking for support and partnerships (max. 2 pages in length)
  • General information about or profiles on Afghan organizations
  • New from other funders
  • Networking initiatives
  • Events and learning opportunities that help funders better understand Afghanistan
  • Calls for proposals and announcements of funding opportunities
  • Trainings and workshops offered
  • Scholarships, fellowships and other financial support for women’s education
  • Resources and tools for financial sustainability
  • Information on conferences and other learning opportunities focused on gender
  • Articles, policy analysis and reports on funding to women in Afghanistan, in situations of conflict, or funding for gender work generally
  • Awareness of new initiatives, networking opportunities, and more.

The listserv distributes a maximum of one article daily, usually 2-3 posts weekly. The listserv is moderated, but subscribers can submit posts for possible circulation.

Subscription to the list is free for Afghan organizations, and free for FNAW members.

Please note that FNAW is not a funding or grant-making body itself, but rather a network of funding organizations.
